Album Info:On April 8, 2017, I chased "The Virginian" Excursion, operated by the North Carolina Transportation Museum. The excursion was pulled by famed N&W J Class steam locomotive number 611 and an NS SD40-2, numbered 6110, and included a large number of famous private railcars in the consist.

Description:  With a fully booked train consisting of some of the finest private railcars in America, NS train 958 (known as "The Virginian" to the passengers on board) thunders Northbound on the former Southern Railway Mainline next to Old Route 29 just north of Ruffin, NC.
